The beginning of fist semester classes

The first semester classes will begin as scheduled on Monday, April 11. If there is any change of a schedule for academic affairs, etc., it will be posted promptly on the TMU website. Please make sure to check the website.

In order to receive information from the University without fail

The University will post important information regarding academic affairs on its website whenever it is available, and sometimes send the same information to your TMU mail account registered with the Education-Research Information System. Please make sure to forward the information from your TMU mail to your personal cell phone or any other mail addresses you use on a daily basis.

We lift refraining from coming to the University after the March 11 Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake

We have called on all students to refrain from coming to the University after the March 11 Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake, but we now lift it as of March 29.  We would like you yet to be alert for your safety when coming to the University.

As for the use of campus facilities for your extracurricular activities, we have decided to limit the use from 9:00 to 18:00 for the time of being for saving power, as the rolling power cuts are still going on.

Cancellation of the Entrance Ceremony

We at Tokyo Metropolitan University sincerely extend our sympathy and condolence to all people who have suffered from the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake.

Considering various situations of current transportation system, power supply and aftershocks, Tokyo Metropolitan University has cancelled the Entrance Ceremony scheduled for April 5 at Tokyo International Forum. We are sorry for those who have been looking forward to the Ceremony, but we appreciate their understanding.
