In September 2012, New York-based Thomson Reuters designated Professor Masatake Haruta, Division of Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Urban Environmental Sciences, a Thomson Reuters Citation Laureate in the annual pre-Nobel “Thomson Reuters Predicts Nobel Laureates” event. In November, Professor Haruta was presented with a certificate in a ceremony at the Minami-osawa Campus.
