Further Approach to U.S. Universities in Preparation for the Establishment of the Faculty of Global Innovation and Development (GLIDe)

In May 2026, representatives from Tokyo Metropolitan University (TMU) visited several U.S. universities again to share their views regarding the implementation of exchange programs between domestic students in Japan and international students for GLIDe, scheduled to open in April 2028.

During this visit, Vice President Dr. Masayoshi Noguchi and other representatives explained the university-wide internationalization initiatives in education and research at TMU, as well as the curriculum of GLIDe, leading to a lively discussion.

Furthermore, this visit is a remarkable opportunity to take the next step toward the realization of the Faculty of Global Innovation and Development(GLIDe), where students from Japan and the world will learn together, including the establishment of cooperative relationships with Brandeis University, Saint Louis University, Florida State University, University of North Texas, and University of Nevada, Reno, with a view to implementing future student exchange programs.
