To meet the needs of the new era, TMU is restructuring into 7 faculties, 23 departments, and 7 graduate schools.

Over the last 10 years since TMU's establishment, major changes have taken place in the social environment, generating such complex issues as the rapid adoption of information technologies in society, the declining birthrate combined with aging population, and the growing risk of a major natural disaster.

In such circumstances, it is more imperative than ever for a university to gather advanced educational and research resources and carry out education and research in a way that helps to resolve the issues faced by society.

So, to concentrate the university's educational and research resources and strengthen research in cutting-edgefields so that the needs of a new generation can be met, TMU is moving ahead with organizational restructuring.
