College of Micronesia Students Visited TMU

TMU welcomed four junior college students and two accompanying teachers from the Federated States of Micronesia on November 14 and 15 in 2017, who were on the Invitational Program November 13 – 18 in Japan.
This Invitational Program takes place every year, starting from 2015 in collaboration of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Embassy of the Federated States of Micronesia in Japan.
The purpose of the Program is to develop Micronesian human resources that will contribute to the development of their country by introducing to them knowledge and technology which Japan and Tokyo boast about, and to strengthen friendship ties among Japan, Tokyo, and other countries and regions by offering the visitors student exchanges and other activities at Tokyo Metropolitan University and the Tokyo Metropolitan College of Industrial Technology.
TMU organized special classes on tourism, environment and Japanese culture, and a visit to research facilities. They also enjoyed a campus tour and a calligraphy experience conducted by TMU students.
