Radiological technologists not only conduct X-ray examinations but they also handle many kinds of medical equipment, such as X-ray CT, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasonic diagnosis equipment. Diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine and therapeutic radiology play key roles in the present medical field, where there is widespread use of gamma cameras, single photon emission CT, positron emission CT and many varieties of therapeutic irradiation equipment. The Division of Radiological Sciences also offers substantial training in programming, and aims to foster technologists with high information-processing capabilities.
