Finance (MF) Program

Finance (MF) program aims to cultivate fund managers, quantitative analysts, risk managers, traders, financial product developers, policymakers, financial managers and other financial professionals who are capable of operating effectively in a global financial center.

MF program classes are held at TMU's Marunouchi Satellite Campus, with a “quarterly” system of four semesters per academic year. With a core curriculum that includes Investment Management, Options, Financial Risk and Numerical Analysis, the curriculum for the MF program is carefully designed to achieve an effective balance between statistics, mathematics and economics classes, so that students can acquire world-class finance and financial engineering skills. Other requirements include Finance Practice (seminar), Finance Investment (practical learning through case studies), and the completion of a Masters thesis. A system has been put in place whereby instructors with expert knowledge of theory in relevant fields, and with extensive practical experience, take the time to provide thorough guidance to the program's talented students using small class sizes. In addition, the recruitment of overseas researchers makes it possible to provide an even richer learning experience through the provision of classes taught in English.
